For each visit we have planned, we are supposed to register online at the Adopt-a-Beach website. The Alliance requests a two week buffer period for when you register to when your event actually is, and that way your water testing kit can arrive in time. Our first trip would have had to been the 13th or later, but for my partner and I our availability only matched on Thursday afternoon and evenings, so we took a chance and registered on the 11th. Because of this set back we registered for a non-Thursday trip on an up-coming Sunday.
This set back may be a blessing in disguise though, the weather has been absolutely miserable. It's been pouring rain for the past several days and I'm assuming that that will not make for a pleasant beach visit.
